Telephone Policy |
| We welcome and encourage you to call the
office if you have questions regarding your medical care. Please make
non-emergency calls between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. when your records
are available. Our staff has been trained to assist you with your
inquiry; please be specific in explaining your problem to the staff
member. She will either schedule an appointment or place your call with
the appropriate person. If the physician or nurse in not available to
take your call immediately, the receptionist will see that your call is
returned at the earliest possible time. You can assist in this endeavor
by providing the receptionist with a correct phone number, and a time
when a return phone call can be accepted by you. |
| Emergency calls are accepted at all hours.
If an emergency occurs when the office is closed, please call our
answering service at (540) 438-1314 or toll-free (540) 438-1314. Please
limit non-emergency calls to office hours. It is not our policy to treat
illnesses or prescribe medications over the phone without the physician
having the opportunity to properly evaluate your condition. |
